Rose M. BoggsSept. 17, 1921 - Jan. 14, 2014Resident of San JoseOn January 14, 2014, Rose M. Boggs went home to be with her heavenly Father. Born September 17, 1921 in Calexico, CA to the late Alfonso Pelayo and Ramona Ortiz. Rose was the eldest of 13 siblings: Connie, Margaret, Alfonso, Jay, Joseph, Mary, Robert, Emily, Alfred, Lupe, Richard, and Arnold. She went to Roosevelt Jr. High until 8th grade. Worked WWII shipyards welding, retail and a banker for 17 years at BOA. She loved dancing, shopping, gambling and crocheting.Married to Fred L. McAllaster Sr. for 46 years. She devoted her life to raising 3 children, Fred Jr., Wayne and Joyce. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Fred C. Boggs, on Feb 1st. Rose spent her life giving joy and loving others more than herself. Above all she cherished her family. Rose will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Our memories of her will live on in our hearts forever. Fred and the children would like to express their deepest gratitude to the extraordinary caregivers, whose exceptional compassion, loyalty and skill sustained us all: Maria, Rita, Jocelyn, Ellen, and Mel.The family will have a vigil at 7pm on Thurs Jan 23rd at the Chapel of the Flowers (900 S. 2nd St, SJ 95112) and funeral services at St. Christopher (300 Curtner Ave. SJ 95125) at 11AM on Fri Jan 24th.
