Ruby Bernice Gilmore

Ruby Bernice Gilmore Passed away at age 101 on November 24, 2005 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in San Jose, CA. Born March 5, 1904 in Dow City, IA to George Andrew and Mary Dora Spence. Ruby came to California in September 1925 to marry her high school sweetheart William A. Gilmore and settled in the Mill College district of Oakland Calif. During her life Ruby was active in community affairs in San Leandro, Pleasanton and Walnut Creek. She is survived by her son William Gilmore, four grand daughters, Katherine Murry, Elizabeth Harward, Caroline Fahmy, Jennifer Gustafson and eight great grandchildren. Services held at the Mt. View Cemetery in Oakland, CA. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of Flowers, San Jose, CA.
