Ruth Silverstein

Ruth Silverstein Succumbed to Leukemia on Nov. 11, 2008 at the age of 85. Ruth was born in Linden, NJ in 1923. She married Milt in 1946 after he returned from war and they settled in Chicago where Ruth worked for the Manhattan Project until they started their family. They moved west, living in LA, HI, and finally settling in SJ in 1965. Ruth worked for San Jose PD as a Records Supervisor from 1971 to 1989 when she retired. Ruth is survived by 5 children, Chuck, Alan, Lori, Jay and Judi and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose on Friday, 11-14-08 at 11 a.m. She will be interred at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave., SJ. Donations are encouraged to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
