Starr G. HendersonMay 9, 1936 - Jan. 6, 2016Resident of San JoseStarr, born in Roswell, NM, died after a courageous, year long struggle with cancer. After living briefly in Southern California, Starr moved to San Jose in 1954 with his parents Jack and Lela Henderson. They opened Hendersons Pianos and Organs where Starr worked, and where he met the love of his life, Donna. They settled into Cambrian Park where they lived for most of his adult life. Starr was a Coast Guardsman, salesman, counselor and independent businessman. He enjoyed golf, traveling, watching sports, riding motorcycles, eating good food, Peet's coffee and the company around him. Generous to a fault, Starr was a longtime friend of Bill W., and always assisted others in need. He is survived by spouse Donna Henderson; children (Barbara, Belinda, Mark, Scott, Rick), grandchildren (Morgan, Clayton, Kristen, Bryan, Kellie, Jessica, Paul, Erica, Patrick, Tristan, Cassie); great-granddaughter Madelyn; and a host of other wonderful relatives, friends and neighbors. Pre deceased by son John and grandson John Marco. To honor Starr's life, all are invited to a Memorial Service at 11am, Feb 5, Lincoln Glen Church, 2700 Booksin Ave, SJ.
