Stephen Earl CarrollOct. 15, 1958 - Feb. 2, 2017FresnoStephen was raised in Monte Sereno and graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1977. He attended Santa Clara University where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in History. He then continued his education at UCLA School of Law receiving his Juris Doctor in 1984. He immediately joined the law firm of McCormick Barstow where he became partner in 1990 and remained until his death. When he was 5, Stephen announced that he wanted to be an attorney and never veered from that career path. In addition to law Stephen had many other passions. If you knew Stephen, you knew about his love of cars, particularly Porsches. He was also a history buff, voracious reader and always looking to learn new things. Stephen was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of a multitude of topics, his generosity and quirky sense of humor. Stephen will be missed by his mother Marcelyn Birk Carroll, his brother Darren Carroll and his sister Stephanie Carroll. A private service has been held.
