Steven ContrerasResident of San JoseFeb. 16, 1978 - Oct. 7, 2011 Steven was born and raised in San Jose, California. After graduating from Cupertino High School, Steven went on to pursue a degree in Art at Cogswell College in Sunnyvale. An accomplished Systems Analyst, Steven was a friend and avid co-worker to many Human Resource professionals at E-Bay, 3Com, Atmel and other Silicon Valley technology companies. His attention to detail and commitment to each and every challenge he signed up for kept us all on our toes. The creative talent he infused into his graphic designs, oil paintings and drawings inspired us with awe. His rare ability to laugh along with whatever twists and turns life had in store for us kept us humble. Most of all it was his openness and honesty that captured our hearts, made us all look deeper inside, and feel better about ourselves. We will miss you Steven. Steven is survived by his brother, Roger Contreras of San Jose, his mother Mrs. Marie Contreras also of San Jose and his loving relatives throughout California and El Paso Texas. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 14 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and a Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Chapel of Flowers Funeral Home, 900 South Second Street in San Jose.
