Tommie Lopez MirandaFeb. 26, 1919 - Sept. 3, 2017Resident of San JoseTommie Lopez Miranda, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Sept. 3, 2017 at her home in San Jose, CA, where her daughter and son-in-law Evelyn and Angel Ramirez had been taking care of her for the past several years. Tommie was the oldest of 12 siblings. Tommie is preceded in death by siblings Nellie, Frank, Tita, Candelario, Helen and Moses. Tommie is survived by siblings Angie, Paul, Margie, Tillie and John. Tommie is survived by her daughter Evelyn Rivera Ramirez (Angel Ramirez) and preceded in death by her sons George Rivera (MaryLou Rivera) and Rudy Rivera (Diane Rivera). Tommie was born in Roswell, NM and moved to Riverside, CA where she raised her three children. Tommie was blessed with a total of 150 grandchildren from her three children (25 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 55 great great grandchildren). In 1985 Tommie married the love of her life, Raul Miranda of La Puente, CA who treated her like a Queen till the end of his life in Oct. 2008. They lived in La Puente, CA and were able to retire together, travel and went to dances any chance they got. They were both avid sports fans, especially to the Raiders and Dodgers. They moved to San Jose when Raul fell ill in 2005. Tommie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Oak Hill Cemetery.Family and Friends are invited to attend services at Chapel of Flowers, Sat., Sept. 9, 2017 at 5 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial at Oak Hill immediately following.
