Valdemar Simon Garcia, Sr.Feb. 27, 1925 ~ April 12, 2011Resident of San Jose Valdemar Simon Garcia Sr., Loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend will be greatly missed. Dad was surrounded by loved ones as he passed into eternity with his Savior, Jesus Christ on April 12, 2011. He was born in Ojai, California. He is our hero. He was a decorated First Marine Division in WWII, Battle of Okinawa. He worked as a Superintendent for Dietz-n-Crane Homes for 25 years, and later become a Self-Employed Contractor. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He was active in serving at the Homeless Community, the Alma Youth Center, and Sacred Heart Perish in San Jose, CA.He is survived by his beloved first wife and lifelong companion, Trinidad Garcia, his beloved children, Valdemar S. Garcia, Jr., Linda Andrade, Gilbert Garcia, Martin Garcia, Lawrence Garcia, Gino Garcia, Priscilla Urzua, Anna Isabel Garcia, Pedro Acosta, Cesar S. Garcia, Mercedes Gonzalez, and Nora Malvido. A loving Grandfather to forty-four grandchildren, seventy-two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. A loving brother to Harriet Garcia, Richard Garcia, Virginia Martinez, Phyllis Rios, and Salvador Garcia. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabel Garcia, father, Florencio Garcia, mother, Minnie Garcia, son, Simon Garcia, daughters, Stella Garcia and Bonita Garcia, daughter in law, Dawna Garcia, granddaughter, Verna Garcia, sisters, Julia Garcia and Alice Vasquez, brothers Alfred Garcia and Joe Benny Garcia. Dad we will miss you dearly, but we know you are in the most perfect place, Heaven. Until we meet again, we love you.
