On June 7th, 2024 at 2pm, the world bid farewell to a soul as pure as morning dew - Valerie Perez. A revered mother of three, a devoted wife, and a cherished friend whose absence now leaves an indelible void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. 

Valerie's journey began on October 11, 1960, in the East Bay city of Oakland, CA, where she bloomed into the remarkable woman we came to know and love. It was in San Jose that fate intertwined her life with Art Perez, her beloved husband. Their love story spanned 42 beautiful years since they embarked on their journey together in the year of 1982. Together they shared the joy of raising two remarkable daughters; Sonia and Lorraine Perez.

A paragon of maternal devotion, Valerie's greatest joy lay in her role as a mother. Her days were illuminated by the laughter of her children, shared tales, board games that echoed with memories, and evenings spent engrossed in their favorite TV shows. In every challenge life presented, she stood as a beacon of unwavering guidance, unwavering support; a font of endless encouragement for her precious daughters.

Simple pleasures brought immeasurable happiness to Valerie - from moments lost in the whimsy of puzzles to cherished hours spent enveloped in warmth alongside loved ones within the sanctuary of her home.

Left behind to honor her legacy are her steadfast husband, Art Perez; her children - Viana, Sonia, and Lorraine; and their children - Anthony, Mathew, and Sofia - perpetuating a lineage blessed by her enduring love.

Valerie's memory shall endure as a testament to a life lived with grace and kindness. As we navigate this world without her physical presence, let us find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on eternally within each heart she touched.

 After the burial on Thursday, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, a remembrance of life will be held, welcoming all family and friends. Details will be given from Art Perez.
