Vidal B. Ramirez, Jr.Resident of San Jose 7/8/1927 - 5/7/2011Vidal, the youngest of 6 children, preceded in death by Vidal S. and Teodora B. Ramirez and his 5 siblings, was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico.The family moved to California when he was 10 and settled in Newark, CA. Here he went to school and began working until he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the occupation of Japan and the Berlin Airlift in Germany. Upon returning from the service he married and is survived by Eleanor and their 5 children (spouses):Chris (Estella), Velen, Marco (Hortencia), Ben, Dianna and 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.He became a Heating/Air Cond. Technician and worked at Moffett Field Naval Air Station in Mt.View until he retired.Vidal also became a Mason and served as Master of Lodge 299, Master of Lodge San Jose 10, Commander of Commandry # 1, and High Priest of the Council.Services will be held at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose Wednesday 5/11/2011 from 5 to 9 pm, then a Mass Thursday 5/12/2011 10am at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 2980 Senter Rd., San Jose and then taken to the SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY NATIONAL CEMETERY, 32053 West Mc Cabe Rd, Santa Nella, CA for interment at 1:30pm. The burial will conclude the services for Vidal. A memorial will be held July 9, 2011.We will miss him in our daily lives. God bless and keep him with all our love.
