Walter KaczkowskiFeb 5,1928-Oct 29,2014Sunnyvale, CAWalter Martin Kaczkowski passed away at Valley House Rehabilitation Center in Santa Clara, CA. where he touched many lives with his kindness and gentle spirit. Walter was born in Cliffside Park, NJ and graduated from St. Peter's College in Jersey City with a degree in Chemistry. After serving in the US Army during the Korean era, Walter enjoyed a career as a chemist with Coca Cola and worked in the aerospace industry with Lockheed Martin. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Martin Kaczkowski, mother, Frances Kaczkowski and his brothers, Anthony,Matthew and Raymond Kaczkowski. He is survived by his nephews, Joseph and Francis Kaczkowski of Port Jervis, NY and niece, Helen Bull of Roseville, CA., plus many grandnieces and grandnephews. Walter was an avid hiker with a love of the ocean and had a lifelong kinship with the Sierra Club. He was an active metal detector enthusiast, published poet and "champion spinner" who enjoyed life to its fullest. We will all miss his friendly smile, positive personality and the many good memories that we all shared.The Chapel Of Flowers
