Walter "George" PledgerDec. 3, 1935 - May 26, 2021Resident of Santa ClaraWalter "George" Pledger (1935-2021) passed away peacefully in Santa Clara, CA on May 26. He was born in Alabama and earned a mechanical engineering degree from Auburn University. Hewas an engineer for Lockheed Martin, Sunnyvale, CA for almost 40 years. His love for music, dancing and singing made him so very happy. George loved his church, music, football, fast cars and motorcycles. Other interests included contract bridge, income tax preparation, the stock market and especially being a good father. He will be remembered fondly by his neighbors and friends for his humor, conversation, and willingness to volunteer. He is survivedby his daughters Pamela Pledger (San Jose, CA) and Patrisha Pledger (Kimball, MI), sister Sarah Pledger Fechter (St. Petersburg, FL), niece Carol Crane Wells (John) (Tampa, FL). He is remembered fondly by Lorena Bernal Pledger Gorsche of Lake Oswego, Oregon, the Bernalfamilies, Michelle of Auburn, California, Mark, Stacey, Sami of West Lynn, Alex of Oregon City, Oregon. George was predeceased by his parents Walter and Frances Pledger, niece Wendy Crane Johnson and nephew Gordon Crane.Services at 11am, June 7th at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S Second St, San Jose, CA.
