William Griffith

William "Bill" Griffith 82, Bill Griffith passed away at his home in San Jose on Wednesday, March 4th. A lifetime San Jose resident and a sailor during World War II, Bill loved to travel and dance with his wife of 51 years, Betty Griffith. He was an active member of the San Jose Elks' Lodge and had co-owned Melody TV in Campbell for many years. He will be remembered as a man of warmth who was always happy to share a joke and a smile with friends and family. He is survived by his wife Betty Griffith, his son Bill Griffith Jr., two daughters Susan Chavarria and Arlene Griffith-Detorre, and their spouses. He was also the proud grandfather of four grandchildren. There will be a vigil at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St, San Jose on March 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Saint Clare's Church in Santa Clara on March 14 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
