William B. HookeNov. 26, 1939 - Dec. 14, 2015Resident of Willow GlenWilliam B. Hooke, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home in San Jose on Mon., December 14th, 2015. William fought a long and courageous twenty-two year battle against Parkinson's disease.He was born in Houston, Texas to Murray and Mary Hooke. He graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in nuclear engineering. He settled in San Jose and worked at Lockheed as a nuclear engineer and owned South Bay Sign and Banner.He spent 35 years with the love of his life, Pamela, and in 1988, they welcomed their one and only child, Vanessa. He is also survived by his sister, Marianne.William spent his final years at home, in the care of his wife and surrounded by loved ones. He was an avid reader, a non-discriminatory beer drinker, a dark chocolate connoisseur, and a lover of the History Channel. He was sarcastically witty and charismatic and had a gentle heart for all living creatures. He will be remembered, dearly missed, and forever loved for his determination to live a life fulfilled and his countless efforts to give his love where it was needed despite his own suffering.A service will be held Thurs., January 7th at 7:00 PM at Chapel of Flowers located at 900 S.
